The title say's it all... I'm in search of a chat solution using sockets/ports to communicate. This is for work. We're spread out in our county and need a fast way to communicate besides phone. We have today a selfmade socket to socket prog running, but it sucks big time.. I'm offered to change that, hehe... The right person, yeah I know ;)

Thing is I'm sure there is many of these already made and there is really no use in inventing the wheel again, right ? I can't find them though... Any inputs ? mIRC is that an option for instance ?

It would be great if you had a suggestion yesterday, hehe ;)
