Bramsyuur and other developers - taking over project ?
« on: April 18, 2006, 11:49:39 am »

Hey guy's...

This question is regarding the shashin image gallery: http://www.hasseman.com/shashin/ I mention Bram by name since he's the one that changed it into ISO, but the question is for everybody with possible interest.

I've sent the new zip with this script to the developer along with my translation of the adminpart, and he was extatic, hehe... He also mistook me for the one that had made all this (I corrected him, bram ;)). He states that he do not have enough time to make it better and further developed and asks me if I want to take over the project or atleast be apart of it, but this is way over my horizon, so I present the offer here if anyone would be interested in takeing it on...

You have the mail adaress to Hans on his site, or if you would like me to be the initial contact...it's up to you.

Patric.

I must have missed soemthing, because I hadn't seen that script before. Have you guys been working on integrating it into sNews? If so, how ready is it? Is there soemthing I could take and plug in right now or is it not quite there yet?

You can have a looksie at it here: http://p-ahlqvist.com/imagery.php or without a lot of "shot by" or any other "who gives a feck" links here: http://fredriksbergsherrgard.se/pics.php

It's not an intergrated gallery, but it's fairly simple to get implemented in your design. Works great, specially since Bram ISO modded it. The original is UTF-8 and that did not fit my needs...

ahh so THAT'S the one you ended up going with. Have you just used an Include? or how have you slotted it in to your site?

No, not just include command nor slotted it in. I guess it's "require":

Code: [Select]

require("URL to/shashin.php");
shashin("myhomepage.php?action=photoalbum&language=se", "soft", "se", true);
?>

Wheres "soft" is ref to skin (which I have modified), "se" is the language, and the 4th argument is important if we want to run as builtin. If true, we do not need tags such as and so on) and therefore shashin will not display the content of the files header.php and footer.php
