Content via php
« on: February 25, 2008, 03:45:19 pm »

I have been using sNews in a news/blog format quite well.

I was wondering if sNews can also be used for an online store, where the contents are gotton via datafeeds using php.
So I create a category and have a product range for the articles (content coming in via php).

Is this possible at all? I really like sNews and would rather stick to using it for all I am doing currently.

First... welcome.
I'm not clear on what you mean by "content coming in via PHP".
If you mean you have a suite of customized PHP functions that generate static content... and you want to insert that into an article... yes, you can do that. First, you would install Philmoz's Function-name Insert Mod. You would then included the file with your new functions at thetop of index.php under where we include snews.php. Then you would insert the function-name in a new article where you want its generated content to display and it will display there.
Do it now... later may not come.
