css design made manually?
« on: March 24, 2006, 07:21:54 pm »

As i'm a newbie in css & xhtml, i have a simple question:  is design (css) as the new css template "Internet Market" made manually or with a special software?

Internet Market was made manually with a simple text editor which has syntax highlighter and line numbering.
Some people like to use software like Dreamweaver to create layouts while some preffer to make them manually. It's faster for me to do them manually and it's pretty much a matter of choice, this way you really know what's going on. Infact, you can manually code layout in Dreamweaver.

Edit: Some software tend to display manually coded layouts incorrectly. Batteries not included.

Tell me guys what is your choice of tools in web-ing and coding?
I use Dreamweaver and Nodepad++. I learned about Notepad++ in the sNews community  ;D
For FTP-ing I use Filezilla and Dreamweaver which comes with a handy FTP-tool. But strangesly as it sounds you can't use DW to chmod files on server. I use Filezilla for that.
What are your preferences?

I use Crimson Editor to code XHTML, CSS, PHP and other things. I guess it's good as any other editor with syntax highlighter and line numbering.

For FTP I use Internet Explorer. Older generations surely remember it. It was actually used for browsing long time ago.
