Homepage info question /*SOLVED*/
« on: October 15, 2007, 07:32:30 pm »

Hello all,

Let me start by saying that snews is fantastic, i have found it suits my needs perfectly  ;D

Anyway, i have a quick question. I have built a site for an IT training provider with snews doing the business behind the scenes. What i have done is used categories for each training category (funnily enough) eg programming. networking, open source etc with the articles being the actual courses within each category.

When people click the courses section it is showing the list of articles (courses) but the info i have added to the homepage is showing up on the list and i would like to stop this from happening, can it be done?

Many thanks

Max

You will have to be more specific about how you added this information. Did you use articles, pages, extra content, or is it hardcoded?

Hi Joost, wow...

In trying to figure out how i had done things, i solved my problem.

All i had to do was create another page called welcome, go to admin settings and point the homepage to the welcome page, easy as that!!

Thats why snews is fantastic!!  :D

Thanks
