Brilliant work adding it into the ZenPhoto mod! Adds some sophistication to the images! Keep up the good work!

Have you tried it? Does it work for you?  Can you take any comments to that thread?  One of the members here is having problems with it and I want to make sure that no one else is having issues with it.

Well to make a long story short....I am creating my own design site which will also offer hosting...and due to using some flash and java, I don't think that I will be able to use snews with it.. :'( ...but i do have a client that I integrated snews into their site and I think that the Zenphoto mod would go good with their site...so I will contact them and see.

Ok cool, just let me know.

Oh btw.. for some reason the reflection did not work in opera or konqueror.  But I read in forums there may be another script interfering.. Not sure...

But it works nicely in Firefox and safari

I was using a different sNews version (1.4 in Linux) to test it out on.. a simple move over to 1.6 on my Mac is working as it should.

I may want to try and hack it so it can include title as well.. time will tell

So if I understand you right, you are going to run your site in 1.4 and try to hack it that way zenphoto will work right?

No no, i only use 1.4 for testing purposes, since the code is simpler for me to understand (php newb, thats me--- the html inputs scare me in 1.5 and 1.6, trying to keep up with  all the '','','','','', and to what each means!), but I could of did this in 1.6 or 1.5 or 1.3 for that matter since I am only testing the template and where to put divs in the snews.php.  I just had a empty 1,4 installation installed with nothing on it and thats what I needed a blank slate to work from quickly

Zen works for any version really

And I got the titles underneath the pictures to work properly
Code: [Select]
/* Show Latest Images */
/* http://anton.gektoras.lt/zenphoto/zenphoto-latest-images */
function show_latest_images($number) {
$images = query_full_array("SELECT images.albumid, images.filename AS filename, images.title AS title, albums.folder AS folder FROM ".prefix('images')." AS images, ".prefix('albums')." AS albums WHERE images.albumid = albums.id AND images.show = 1 ORDER BY images.id DESC LIMIT $number");
        $size = '_'.zp_conf('thumb_size').'_cw'.zp_conf('thumb_crop_width').'_ch'.zp_conf('thumb_crop_height');
        foreach ($images as $image) {
        $filename = $image['filename'];
        $album = $image['folder'];
              $desc = $image['title'];
              echo '<li>';
                if (zp_conf('mod_rewrite') == false) {
                echo '<a href="'.WEBPATH.'/index.php?album='.$album.'&image='.$filename.'" title="'.$desc.'">';
                } else {
                      echo '<a href="'.WEBPATH.'/'.$album.'/'.$filename.'" title="'.$desc.'">';
                }
// echo '<img src="'.WEBPATH.'/cache/'.$album.'/'.$filename.$size.'.jpg"></a>';
              echo '<img src="'.WEBPATH.'/zen/i.php?a='.$album.'&i='.$filename.'&s=thumb" class="reflect rheight33"></a>';
// To show title underneath picture, if inline of course
                if (zp_conf('mod_rewrite') == false) {
                echo '<p class="imgdesc"><a href="'.WEBPATH.'/index.php?album='.$album.'&image='.$filename.'" title="'.$desc.'">';
                } else {
                      echo '<p class="imgdesc"><a href="'.WEBPATH.'/'.$album.'/'.$filename.'" title="'.$desc.'">';
                }
echo $desc.'</a></p>';
              echo '</li>';
}
}

I am trying to mimic the mockup as much as possible:

Hey php newb is definitely me too! I can get lost really easy in 1.6 from all those different characters and what they mean! Im determined to learn it though! I saw your gmail address on the gtalk post and i added you (hope you dont mind)...and i was wondering if you could shoot me a copy of 1.4 so i could start there and dig into it......Also Im glad you got the title thing to work! Looks really good in the image!

Dont mind, fist time using it now!  Most of the functions for 1.4 are similar, but it is a good read for a php newb like myself to understand and see how things work.  Again most of the functions are interchangable, with little or no modification.  Though I do prefer 1.6 because of the enhanced pages functions and the mods associated with it.
