Hey guys!

I've just released my first template! :D
It's a 100% XHTML and CSS valid template for general websites.
I guess it can be used for CMS too, but then it would need som fixes.

Nice template. :)
I no some people on the forum don't like my critics, but here it is anyway. I think the images are to big (I am talking about kilobytes). The images in the template would be better off when saved as png instead of jpg.
Let's take for instance http://olle-axelsson.se/work/emergence/imgs/box_bg.jpg (21346 bytes)

I took the liberty to download it and save it as png. Size: 127bytes Now not all conversions will show dramatic results like this one.  However, sizereduction between 80 and 90 percent can be expected, while quality is preserved.

There is one catch. A color reduction has to be performed as well. Most editors are able to do this, although some editors (like irfanview), might show a slight color shift that has to be corrected afterwards. If your editor is not able to reduce the amount of colors, you can safe the images as gif (can only show 256 colors).
I suggest you try it.

png?do you know how broswers work before you post your critics?PNG file is hard to mach with other bacground except white color, and IE MOZILLA OPERA itc itc dont work right with png file.Especial IE.....Also profesional desingers some time use large images for templates.i know you going to say now users with dial-up...i build my templates for high speed users dial up harldy can open yahoo mail for 1 minuts and more so pay more for better internet if you ur in web designs or if you want to search internet today whear many web sites use lot of graphics...that is simple....

background-color: #fff;  = white
I don't understand exactly what you mean with not working well in browsers, although I know that Lynx seems to have some minor problems.
So far I have not seen any problems with browsers that have been released in the past five years. So feel free to explain.

Professional designers ... well, if for making simple visuals designer needs large images then probably he isn't so professional, at least for web works. And regarding speed ... again it's not professional to design something only for top notch configuration if most of users will use the result at mediocre one.
