I started using 1.5 awhile ago and found it to be a great little package for writing blogs, which  is what i used it for.

however i am now using Joomla which is far superior in every way.

keep up the good work with this guys it can only get better.

And what are your sources?

Maybe you could have formulated that in a different way...

Define superior. I've tried Joomla and feel the exact opposite is true. To each their own, eh? :|

LOL Bob :)

There's no such thing as a CMS that will fit to everyone's needs. There are CM systems for large portals aswell as ones for small sites or blogs.

sNews belongs to a Lite category.

Make that ultra-light. According to http://www.opensourcecms.com/  Translucid (4.3mb) is also light.

I am currently using joomla for my home page, and I am seriously thinking about changing it over to sNews. I cannot say enough good stuff about this package. I think that some of those other people need to have their hands held when making a db table or writing a little function or something. I have no fear! And sNews gives me the flexibility and simplicity I crave in a CMS! Thanks again guys!

Lately first postings make very suspicious, especially when they are out of context, not contributing and contain links. However, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Welcome Trent. :)

Well, I can contribute by helping people get through install and implementation. I also have to implement a wysiwyg editor, so I will have experience with that soon, and eventually I would like to write some mods and stuff.  So, hope I haven't offended anyone too bad.  Thanks for not just banning me right away, that would have sucked.

I didn't mean this personal. I am actually glad, you are a person and not a sophisticated spambot. :)
And once again: We are glad that  you are glad and bring your good mood. That is a good contribution, nothing else required.

sNews is such a breath of fresh air, I am used to dealing with CMS solutions that are made of millions of files. The one file engine is such a good idea, how come no one else gives more emphasis to simplicity. And you guys didn't stop there, it is so easy to implement ANY static website as a template. Man, talk about killing two birds with one stone.
