Test Run Reports
« on: May 16, 2007, 04:18:24 pm »

I've just completed my offline (xampp) test run of the sNews 1.6 official release. The installation went smoothly (less than 5 minutes) and all functions appear to be working as intended. No bugs to report at this time. I spent most of yesterday doing a line-by-line comparison of the 1.6 and 1.5.31 virgin snews.php files to get a good feel for the changes made... where they were located, etc. ... basically creatting my master reference file in preparation for mod applications.  Well done, Luka and Dudes! :)

No... it didn't work for me either. I hadn't tested the links from the sitemap page yet. Will apply baker's fix though as it is the answer. :)

bakercad's patch works ... except if the blue RSS pill in Safari's address bar is pressed on any page other than home -- this brings out the old "too many redirects occurred" error that has been around for ages. Using the rss_links links on any page works very nicely though, even in Safari. wee-hoo...

I was just about to do the same, and I thought it might be helpful to mention that there's a great freeware program that does this nicely - ExamDiff.

Thanks for the link. I've been using WinMerge for a while.
