You decide where you want to "break" the content of an article... so that when it is displayed on a page... it will have a title and a short version with a "read more" (or similar) link in the info line below it... leading to the rest of the article.

How do you do this? While you are entering the text into the textarea (for an article) and you get to the point where you want the "short" part to end and the rest of the article to start... click the BREAK button under the textarea and it will insert a [break] tag into the textarea. Then... resume typing in the rest of the text for your article. This will be the break-point.

NOTE - Whenever you auto-insert tags using the buttons under the textarea... they will always be inserted at the END of the content already entered in. So... if you already have all of the text in place and you want to insert a tag... click the button to insert it at the end of the text... then cut & paste it to where you want it in the text. And save (submit) the article to have the changes take effect.
