How to hide Categories, Extras and Pages from the Backend?
« on: December 18, 2006, 04:31:39 pm »

Hello.
I was wondering how i could hide the above mentioned features from the backend?
Reason is i want to have a really simple interface where all articles are just gonna released on the "Startpage", and nowhere else. i dont need archive and stuff as well.
I cleared the frontend-template for my needs, but i don't know how to hide/delete the not needed features.
Can someone help?

Well if you don't include from index.php, you pretty much don't have categories.

But you want to completly strip cats from sNews? That's some more work...

Hey. thanks for the fast reply.

I just mean the administration-area. there the point "sNews Admin". i want to hide/delete the links there to add/edit/view e.g. "categories" oder "extra content", as i don't want to use that feature.

my template file is already pruned to my needs, eg:

Code: [Select]

News

you know what i mean?

by the way. great work on snews!!!
