AJAX admin solution for site structure hierarchy
« on: December 15, 2006, 04:49:25 pm »

dear programmers -
I've found an excellent script menu to visually create web site structure by 'drag-n-drop' method. I guess that would be THE BEST solution for Snews admin to develop subcategories in elegant way.  After visual modeling of site structure admin could 'freez' it and send to MySql as a 'hard' copy. I believe you are genius   and soon we will have topware script.

Hover your mouse over those "links" and notice that there aren't any... :(

It looks fair, but in the end you've got to ask yourself one question*: what would you rather have - an eye appealing site or useful-seo-friendly-money-making one? Or both  And will your time/knowledge/budget survive that venture?

__________
* No, not that question :D

I agree... it looks good. But, as Mika points out, there are no links. Taking a look at the source code on this project... there are two components. The first... is the ajax script that allows you to drag & drop components in the current display and save the changes. The second... is the actual tree structure which is hard-coded into place, links and all.

To use it with sNews, you still have to hard-code all your links into place since they cannot be placed by a function within snews.php.
