Hehe, as I managed to post some links on the subject "menues" in Albert's thread "sNews 1.4 links" I found this neat popout menu that only worked in Mozilla... I just had to try and get it to work in IE aswell. Now, due to IE's incapability to operate certain things as most gecko driven browsers do, like :hover on any other thing than links, I had to cheat, hehe...

So using the whatever:hover I came up with this li'l thingy: http://p-ahlqvist.com/sNews/nav_1/hover-sidebar.php Just move the cursor onto the image there...;) Try the linkie to the "Mozilla version" and try that in IE and Mozilla.

What 'ya think ? (even works in IE)

Very nice Patric ;D

couple of things:

at the moment it doesnt validate due to the head tag [no document declaration i think], the image tag needs a space before the end, and that body style attribute..otherwise looks nice!

is there a way to apply that .htc code inclusion without putting it in the body tag in IE? that you or anybody else knows of?

that is compliant? ;)

No, as the .htc is coded, that's the only way I know of. Download a copy. The .htc file is there :)

And I will get it validated when I get home. Silly me, I seem to forget those end slashes all to often ;)

Hehe, brynnie... in some other post somebody posted a solution to this (Sorry mate don't remember where of who, so I can't credit you)

Code: [Select]

Works flawlessly, and validation can be made ;)

Hehe... If IE (read Billy Gates) could decide, I'm sure we'd had to attach a large number of costly things, in order to increase his wallet, to make most things work ;)... Not only IE sux, I'd say office sux and a number of Microsux product's sux, not due to their functionality but their shear "Microsoftity"...

Excuse me for vomiting on the board ;)
