sNews is theme/template independent. There is, however, a need for "ready to go" themes/templates which can be easily installed without having to touch the snews.php (engine) file.

RULES: Sharing Templates for use with sNews CMS

Original Works: sNews is licensed under a Creative Commons License. By posting a template in this Forum Board you agree to share it with other sNews users without restrictions under the same Creative Commons License. If the template you are sharing is an original created by yourself, you may credit yourself as the author of the template by putting your name and contact information within comments in each file that you authored within your package. You may also indicate your authorship within a <meta name="author" content="your-name-here" /> string in the <head> of the index.php (template) file in your package by changing your-name-here to your name or a URL to your own website.

Works by other Authors: If the template you provide originated from another author and is being modified (ported) specifically for use with sNews, all credits by the original author must remain within any files they are present in. If the original author has a condition that you must provide a link back to his or her website, or any other conditions, please abide by that author's conditions as requested.

Please Keep your Lead Posts up to date: If you share a theme/template package on this Board with a link to the package, please edit your lead post when you make changes and remove any links that are no longer active. Dead links are very frustrating and not useful to fellow members.

Disclaimer: The authors of sNews, 'sNews Dudes' and the administrators of this website are not responsible for ensuring compliance to any conditions specified by any template author and provide no warranties or guarantees with any template provided on any sNews Forum Boards.

Include All Relevant Files: When creating a theme/template package, please be sure to include the default snews.php intact, so it's easy to update without having to change styling inside. sNews themes/templates are applied by simply copying a few files into the snews folder (such as CSS, index.php and images). This way all settings stay the same, only the theme is changed.

Please be sure to structure your package so that it is compatible with sNews and include all relevant files using this structure:
        - images (folder containing theme images)
        - css (folder containing css files)
        - index.php (the template file)
        - You can also name additional folders as you wish and add others such as /js if the theme contains javascript.

Theme Posting Guidlines:
 - sNews 1.7 Theme: Theme name
 - Author: Your name and website
 - Original Source: if your work is based on a template you found on someone else's website
 - Last Update: last update date
 - One small screenshot: (thumbnail) and/or  link to online DEMO (which is often asked for)
 - Download location: - a link to your downloadable file.

The CSS style-sheet file that comes with a template (theme) is what provides the styling for all styling elements within the BODY of your index.php file.
To change the way any of the elements displays... yes... find any division ID or div-class or span-class in the style-sheet and change it.
... Good idea to make a back-up of the file before you make changes to it so you refresh the active file if it doesn't work out.
Do it now... later may not come.
