Title: WoW Guild Roster mod for Snews
Post by: Status on June 25, 2007, 03:31:29 pm
I don't know if this can be done or not, but i was wondering if anyone would be able to whip up a full WoW guild Mod for Snews.

As in it would make a Page in Snews which members (Who arn't the admin) log in and Upload their Updated information, and Reflects that on a Roster Page.

There is a Thing already out there But i don't know if I can make it work WITH Snews.

If the first (A Full from scratch Mod) isn't possiable, or is too much hard work, Could it be possible to Integrate THIS (http://www.wowroster.net/)  Into snews?

Like i said, i Don't know if this can even be done with the limitation of Snews...BUt i just love how easy snews is to use.

Thanks, Status

First of all, I'd like to say how much I dislike http://wowroster.net. I laughed when I saw the main menu halfway down the page :D. Annnddd the 3 collumn php-nuke style. Laslty, their "Projects" page (the one most likely needed to know what the whole thing is about) is restricted to registered users only!. So I have no idea whatsoever of what wowroster is.

But that's okay, Status, because with sNews, it's impossible to make a disastrously ugly site!

And to answer your question: you could wait for bakercad's MultiUser mod to come out, which will most likely fill in your requests with reality. The only think I'm not sure of is if it will display it on a "roster" page.

I hope I haven't been tooo rude.  :D

Considering that 'roster' uses cms based on php nuke 6.5, it is best to start from zero and design it without tables, blocks and such 'niceties' that come with nuke.  Had a site and done that, I think it's the best way.
