Title: what about a new contest?
Post by: 4Sandrix on February 23, 2007, 02:31:20 pm
Well guys :)  I need a fresh blood :D

I wanted to make a "small software development" company website design(of course the company doen't exist, it's just design), so it would be great if this contest will be about it :) without any Limitations... I mean colors, the  stock photos, freeware icons etc.

Well, there isn't much to add... A challange has been made by 4sandrix. Tarmithius13 is the only one that have accepted and the guidelines here, upon request is:

Mission:
A company website !! The sole product they're dealing with is a WysiWyg PHP editor, hehe... It's main feature is that it works like any other wysiwyg editor, you "draw/type/move things about" and then it works lie it's been coded by a pro.
(I decide upon the software so that there are something to obey by, ok ??)

GOD, I want one of these

Other than this there is no limitations what so ever, as this have been requested

Personal note:
(I do however feel that challenges should be limited by a third person, in order to make the challenge not so easy to set rules on by the challenger, but ok...)

Timeframe
The designs should be made ready not later than wednesday evening 18:00 CET (ok ?? Too short, too long ?)

Voting
No voting must start before both contestants have entered their entries, and once entered, there is no redesigning... If posted that is your final entry !!

Challenge over
At saturday 18:00 CET the voting is concluded. Votes will be counted and winner announced later this evening. (I'm away friday til saturday, thats whyso late..)

PS.
All posts not related to this actual challange have been deleted in order to more easily maintain the voting when it starts. So please do not post anything here now, but the entries and then the votes which should go down like following:

Name of whom you vote for.
Possible creative reasons - no trout in back of neck.

Since I won't have a lot of time between now and Wednesday I will submit mine now. I possibly could have done better but here goes:

If it needs to be smaller than I will make it smaller. You can right click on the image to see the full version.

Hey Tarmy... as Patric said above in the "Rules"... no more posts. When you finish your Image for submission to the Contest... upload it to some server somewhere and post a link to it in your post here so that it displays in your post by Patric's deadline. That's it - That's all. After the deadline... as you see above... we all get to vote on the submissions. :)

My vote goes for 4Sandrix.

Besides a great design, his columns are simetric, fonts are far more easier to read. Colors he used make better contrast then colors on tarmithius13's template.

Both designs are great, I just had to pick one :)

I think it's tricky... although I do agree with you, Luka, 4sandrix has nothing indicating suggested software in his design, which tarm has... Have not thought of ruling when this happens. Rules clearly states:

And this is nowhere to be found in Sand's design...

Feels good not to ba allowed to vote

I just thought that it would be unfair to post the finished template, so that's why it's doesn't look like as "WysiWyg PHP editor website".
