Quick Question - Uploading files Problem
« on: December 05, 2010, 12:40:27 PM »

I am trying to upload PDF and doc files using the standard snews file upload utility. However I am getting the message:

"File could not be copied"

And therefore the file will not upload. I have set a folder on the server called 'documents' ready for these uploads. The problem exists on all 3 of my live snews sites. (1 standard and 2 multi user)

Is it a setting somewhere i need to change?

thanks

alks

Hello alks

In snews.php, find this line (maybe line 255)
Quote
$l['allowed_files'] = 'php, htm, html, txt, inc, css,js,swf'; // list of file types available for upload/file list routine

and add red text
Quote
$l['allowed_files'] = 'php, htm, html, txt, inc, css,js,swf, doc, docx, pdf'; // list of file types available for upload/file list routine

Thanks for that Rui, everything now works fine. Somehow I missed that line when I skimmed through the snews file.

Thanks
