sNews putting IE into Quirks mode

I've just found out that having ANYthing, including comments, before the DOCTYPE declaration will put IE into quirks mode.

So is it OK to put the

Guess I've answered my own question on this one. It sees if you put the sNews call AFTER the doctype you get lots of errors.

So sNews sites will always force IE into quirks mode, and hence page trendering is buggy(er). Not really a huge issue, at least I know this now and can work around it.

whoah! good tip gomisan..I didn't know this and it might explain why I have been struggling with a certain complicated css template I have :P
