Hi all,

Does anybody know how I can fix this?

It appears after clicking "View results" link, or voting. After refreshing page, correct chars will display.

I do understand this is some-like related to char-set issue. What I really don't know is where to change it.

Thanks in advance!

Make sure (using PHPMyAdmin) that both databases use the same DB encoding (i.e. UTF8), otherwise it won't work correctly.

Hi again  with this, while i was trying to install this mod for my snews 1.6 single user.
before 120 days, I requested to solve some bugs in this mod, but i couldn't explain better what i got into.
so in these last day, during the searching on snews forum for what could be useful. i come across with this thread, and i found out some bugs if we can say; that the creator of it hadn't seen it.
first the installation of poll mod is working perfect and no problems during the process.. but when come to vote for instance in some poll question, i get this error when submit 'vote';

Code: [Select]
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/adminphp/public_html/setmeup.php:2) in /home/adminphp/public_html/mod_poll/poll_process.php on line 74I went to that line 74 and i checked if it include any conflict causing this error; but nothing wrong there just a cookie code.
so, (1) in setmeup.php I put this line (look at the blue one) within it.

Quote
<?php
/*--------------------------------------------------------------
  setmeup.php           sNews 1.6 Database Configuration File
  - required for database settings
    and any other settings with global effect.
---------------------------------------------------------------*/
error_reporting(0);

// DATABASE VARIABLES
function db($variable) {
   $db = array();
   # Replace the example values with your database server settings.
   $db['website'] = '.........................'; //URL to your domain
   $db['dbhost'] = 'localhost'; //MySQL Host
   $db['dbname'] = '.............'; //Database Name
   $db['dbuname'] = '............'; //Database Username
   $db['dbpass'] = '..........'; //Database password
   $db['prefix'] = ''; //Database prefix
   # End of database settings

   $db['dberror'] = 'blah blah blah.'; //Database error messag
   return $db[$variable];
}
?>

so the warning is solved.

- Poll mod still include a conflict in poll_function.php;  why? ok i will tell you why.
if you post poll questions in english language we will not going to face the problem i found.. but if you post your poll in other language for instance arabic we will get into a problem like this:

Code: [Select]

i am saying that this mod is not working with other language or some kind of this, but when we sumbit vote on poll question then we get that strange sentence.
do you have any comments, uggestions, objections too?
