To resolve an ambiguity: version numbers!
« on: February 20, 2009, 10:29:14 AM »

Hi all,

To resolve an ambiguity, I suggest that (for future revisions):

  • we name archives with revision numbers (ie. snews16r1.zip / snews16r2.zip / snews16r3.zip and so on);
  • we mention the corresponding release/revision number in the header of the snews.php file;
  • we provide a VERSION and/or a CHANGELOG file.

What do you think guys?

See my bug report here:

In fact it's not an idea, it's a requirement.

The actual question is: who decides / who acts.
