Ordered css file for snews

<< < (2/4) > >>

jlhaslip:
"to each their own"
There are distinct advantages to both methods.
If you are concerned about Bandwidth, and the template is finalized, sure, the optimized (in-line) code becomes better.
Until then, the formatted code with all the white space is easier to work with for finding stuff.

What ever floats your boat...

Your subjective comprehension of things gives you no right to call someone's work "shit".
Think about that.

They do. This is not the case here, poppoll.

I just want to remind you Armen you call 1.7 snews code dump or piece of code....http://snewscms.com/forum/index.php?topic=7205.0  .......Right.....I just made comment on css file which i think is hard for users who use first time snews. You may know css but many people dont and is hard for them to read code inline..If you want to criticize someone (like me) you need to look on shit you left behind you first. Also your site acording to w3c have 214 errors and 57 warnings. To many for someone who understand xhtml css.In your xhtml file you made mistake using java script especial using atribute language.

Tray this code

--- Code: ---<script type="text/javascript" src="files/calendarpopup.js"></script>

--- End code ---

also you have some extra DIV tags which is not open.same with br tags.We need to be on same level or close for better understanding each other about css and xhtml ;)

Armen:
You just don't get it, Sasha.

It's not about who's pro (and your insults don't bother me at all, I've got 34 websites under my control and this one is one of my first, IYWK).
It's about calling others' work "shit".

Oh, yes, I did call 1.7 an abomination. An abomination it still remains. Not because I don't like it for no reason. If you knew php, mysql well enough, and spent more time digging the vanilla 1.6 version, originally written by Luka and Mika, you'd understand. Unfortunately, as I see, this forum is slowly dying out. See it for yourself: 1.7 is still in beta, forum header says "sNews is a simple, basic, customizable CMS tool suitable for developers with beginner-to-advanced PHP skills" and number of noobs among new members is constantly growing. Simple CMS you say? And at the same time trying to scare all potential downloaders? But it's not the point.

I'm not being an asshole here, you know. Just watch what you're saying. "Shit" is an insult. This whole sentense: "For all of you lazys. You cant have good cms if you have css file like shit" is an insult. Luka's temlates are brilliant. All of them. Valid, light and compact.

Help yourself with better understanding of the same inline code, man. But first sentense of your first post is unbeleveably insulting.

You win the internets, my lord. I'm devastated and lost in your shadow, oh modest master.
