I did the mod for the pages but the links disappeared! So i backed up the snewsMU.php

I am getting frustrated. I need 5 Links. Home, About us, Contact, Blog, Articles. I need only Blog and articles to be dynamic.

any alternative solutions?

The second solution did the job right. look at adamos.us/snewsMU

I need a brief explanation on how to add additional links and make the home page with static content. i need 5 links Home, About Us<--Static pages. and Contact Us, Articles and Blog. How am i going to do that? when i go to pages what do i put in the text area to?

With static content, you mean pages I guess.
Enter administration, click "add new" and insert your content.
One of the pages can be set for home. Go to settings => content and  set "Use Page as Home Page" for the page you want.

Title will automatically create the linkname.
Your content goes in the big texterea
Leave search engine friendly title (sef) as is.

Articles and Blog are, categories. I suggest you first create the categories Articles and Blog.

After creating an article, you can assign it to a category Click on 'customize' (below the textaerea).

Yes, I notice you are lost. You are extremely new to this, are you?

When you have created "About us", the link will automatically appear in the menu. That goes for every page or article that is created. There is no need to use a real static page (index.html) to be homepage. It can be done through the administration panel. Why don't you first create a page? If it goes wrong, we can delete it.
