Thanks for the tip gomisan! Just what I was looking for :)

@ bryn
Exactly, I don't think they would punish anybody who tries to make his website a bit more user-friendly by describing each page on the website correctly.
Although, I have heard Google could punish you (can't recall in which way exactly) if you over-optimize your website for search engines. For example, if you use your strategic keywords in absolutely every possible anchor on your website - like, imagine you don't have the "home" link every site has, but you place "the title of my site which is my most competitive strategic keyword phrase" instead simple "home" on every link that directs to your homepage. That's too much.

your right Dom..I think the best advice would be not to overload..or "stuff" as they say..your keywords and description, but to merely make them very relavent to the particular page/article

it seems that Google is only likely to take offense or downgrade your pagerank if you make blatent attempts to over optimise your pages with the intention of cheating or mis-direction for users..but who knows really? as we don't know the algorythm, and probably never will ;)

Dom : there is no problem with home ... Why would you not optimize your home adress with your keywords ? ... even on every page ! .... I have this on some pages and no problem for over a year !  ... no problem with home too ;) ..... google is not scary hehe .... for that kind of on-page seo it is ok ... what google dont like is some hidden keywords made with css ....

Oh PLEASE don't implement multi-users.. It's one of the reasons I seriously dislike WP.

Sub-categories and perhaps bbCode or something would make my day.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but I'd like to be able to add extra meta tags for a certain article and so on.

yes it is. just add a few extra lines to markup the rest of the site. the only setback is hard coding, but hey!...nobody's perfect :D

sNews 1.5 What's new:

- Control Panel in Administration area
- New Page option and page can be set up as home (using sNews as CMS, not blog)
- meta description and keyword on articles and pages
- Any article or page can be category dependant (optional)
- pages (former menu_items) and categories order
- URL field on comments (with validation)
- Comment approval option (new comments appear in Control Panel)

TAGS:

Info line tag:
You can define the look and what to use.

Example:
Code: [Select]
$tags['infoline'] = "

,readmore,comments,date,

";
Comments tag:

Code: [Select]
$tags['comments'] = "
,

,ordinal ,name, - ,date,

,

,comment,

,
";
New fuctions that can be used in index.php:

- sitemap (different from archive cause it displays pages, not just posts)
- new comments (function to display eg. 3 newest comments)
- breadcrumbs

And another really cool feature:

Live preview as you type when creating or editing an article.. simple wysiwyg and all toys :)

FIXES:

- it wasn't possible to search while browsing archives or contact form, that's fixed now
- RSS Feed now validates

Edit: there's a lot of things improved and integrated I haven't mentiones cause I can't remember right now but I will :)
