Article entry area
« on: May 07, 2007, 03:04:17 AM »

I recently tried to make my own layout for sNews, and overall, it works pretty well.

My only issue is that the article entry area is not as large as it should be - it looks as if it's only about two lines big. How can this be remedied?

Thank you, and pardon my english

Look for styles ruling the "textarea" in your CSS file and set height to whatever you want it to be. Might also be worth it to set overflow to scroll or auto (depending on your favourite browser and how it handles overflow), otherwise you may end up with lines of text that 'disappear' underneath the bottom edge of the textarea when set to a specific height.

And no need to apologise -- we'll let you know when we don't understand you. So far you're doing great. ;)
Welcome to the forum btw.

I guess you refer to  'textarea , the area where you add the content.
In style.css you can set the height. It can be found under /* SNEWS */ , at the bottom of the stylesheet.
set the value of height to something like this:

Code: [Select]
textarea { width: 97%; height: 20em; padding: 3px;}

Thank you both for your quick replies.

Joost, your fix worked perfectly!
