You said in a post on Solucija that you was about to release a updated version of thee 1.3
yesterday...Have you ? And just forgot to change the release date or was it delayed ?

Keep up the good work - Patric.

Well I finally got around to joining the Forum Luka..and just wanted to say hi, and thank you for the great job you've done so far with snews.

I'm really looking forward to watching how this develops in the coming weeks and months..I'll certainly keep the suggestions coming as I think of them.

There was a problem with the comments. When you freezed them, only one page of comments was displayed. That's fixed now  ;D

Another update:

1)
Option to select articles you want to display:
<? center(0,4); ?>

* Two numbers to limit the articles 0,4 means start from 0 and take 4 articles.

This way you can include lets say 3 articles on the main column and add one article
somewhere else by including <? center(4, 1); ?>

2)
Included the <? title(); ?> function.
It prints the article title as the webpage title

3)
Past entries now show past entries limited by two numbers, and only of the category you browse...

Hi Luka

this sounds great
<? title(); ?> function. can now be used as well for the header meta tages

Option to select articles is somthing to play with later to add snews anyware on any site.
A bit like Rss , but well formated.

Eagerly awating the stable version, so that I can start designing new templates...Rrrrreally looking forward to it.
I just would like to be more able to be of assistance in the developing...But i can't :( ...I'm no PHP guy, sorry to say.

But I gueass you have a lot of help from "Abbe" (Albert), and the other hardcore coders, eh ?

So...waiting for something good, and so on ;)

You can install and prepare everything for sNews 1.3 BETA, and when the stable release comes, you'll just have to copy the snews.php file. There will be no changes in the database  ;D

Code: [Select]
// Database prefix
$s[table_prefix] = "snews1_";

//". s(table_prefix) ."articles
//". s(table_prefix) ."categories
//". s(table_prefix) ."comments

Code: [Select]
// DISPLAY CATEGORIES
function categories() {
echo "<a accesskey='1' href='index.php'>". l(home) ."</a>";
$db = mysql_connect(s(dbhost),s(dbuname),s(dbpass));
mysql_select_db(s(dbname)) or die(s(dberror));
$query = "SELECT * FROM[color=Red] ". s(table_prefix) ."[/color]categories WHERE published = 'YES' ORDER BY id";
$result = mysql_query($query);
while ($r = mysql_fetch_array($result)) {
echo "<a href='index.php?category=$r[id]' title="". $r['description'] ."">$r[name]</a>"; }
echo "<a accesskey='2' href='index.php?action=archives'>". l(archives) ."</a>";
echo "<a accesskey='3' href='index.php?action=contact'>". l(contact) ."</a>";

}
