Hello

I have modified (small) sNews to render accessible and in compliance with the “Legge Stanca” (the Italian law on the accessibility )
The new version 1.5 will have some modification or improvement for accessibility?
it will mainly use the Javascript or the ajax?
it will be more difficult to render it in compliance with the WCAG and to the “Legge Stanca”?

thanks!

Mika

The accessibility things vary a lot between countries but there are a load of common things which I think would be fairly simple for inclusion in the standard distribution of sNews.

Things like make sure all images have alt tags, all links have titles, all forms have labels, make sure it validates etc etc are common to most countries.

I think 1.4 was mostly OK in this respect, but I seem to recall there were a few images lurking around that didn't have alt tags :/

sNews 1.5 itself contains no images. Instead, clever tags were implemented which will allow easy customization on all content.

Besides that, all forms are recoded so they use fieldsets, legends and labels.

I was going through accesibillity docs and be assured I'm very careful about those things :)
