I am contemplating on reverting back to the original sNews theme and just changing the colors to go for that simplistic look (and my current site looks horrible on every mobile browser I've tried). I'm all ears for comments, ideas, and complaints you have with it. ;)

It is functional.
I find the squiggly black & pinks horizontal breaks to be distracting.

I would keep this one on hand for future re-styling. Try a softer approach, play down the template components so that the content stands out rather than the template components. Think of the content as the primarly element with the template being the paper on which it is written.
